Calyptus, a pioneering company in the field of decentralized finance (DeFi) based in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Engineering. As the Head of Engineering at Calyptus, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our flagship product, InfiniFi. Working closely with our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing both Architecture and Engineering development efforts, ensuring that resources are effectively managed on a day-to-day basis. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to translate their vision into actionable components, fine-tune tokenomic design strategies, and translate technical architecture into user stories with UX consultants. Additionally, you will work closely with our Lead Dev to manage tasks across our development team and advise management on technical hiring decisions.
To excel in this role, you must possess a security-first mindset and have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s degree preferred). You should have at least 5 years of experience in a technical role, with 2+ years of Leadership experience leading software development teams. Previous experience in DeFi-related organizations and as a Founder is advantageous. A known public presence in the DeFi community is highly desirable. Proficiency in designing software architectures and familiarity with web3 technologies are essential. Experience with designing tokenomics and using Project Management tools such as Jira is preferred.
