Chief Accountant/ Finance Manager

Our client, a prominent Dubai Free Zone holding company specializing in real estate across the EMENA region, is seeking a Chief Accountant/Finance Manager to join their team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to oversee and optimize the financial and tax functions of the company in a fast-paced and evolving business landscape. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in accounting, finance, and taxation across various jurisdictions, with expertise in IFRS and tax systems within the UAE and EU.

As the Chief Accountant/Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a range of key duties. These include working with capital, securities, shares, units, and other financial instruments. Experience in investment companies, family offices, holding or management companies, and funds is crucial. You will need a solid understanding of multi-jurisdictional operations to effectively manage financial processes across different regions. Additionally, practical experience with cross-border transactions and tax planning in international contexts such as the UAE, EU, and HK is required.

In terms of qualifications and skills required for this role, candidates must hold a higher education degree in economics or finance (bachelor's or higher). A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in taxation, accounting, and finance is essential. Proficiency in IFRS along with strong knowledge of EU and UAE tax systems is necessary. Candidates should also demonstrate proven analytical skills with experience in developing financial models. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and accounting software is expected. Strong organizational skills coupled with honesty, high responsibility levels, and a growth mindset are valued attributes for success in this role. Fluency in English and Russian languages is also required.
