Our client, a prominent b2b company based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Finance Controlling and Operations Manager to join their leadership team. Established around 20 years ago, the company has expanded its operations to over 10 countries across four continents. The core purpose of this role is to drive and manage financial controlling activities and governance for the group in alignment with the client's vision, mission, and corporate objectives, as well as the group delegation of authority policy.

As the Finance Controlling and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong financial controls, systems, and governance frameworks to minimize risk, ensure accurate reporting, support business objectives, and develop Group policies for financial decision-making. You will oversee cost control activities including project accounting, budget approvals, variance analysis, financial planning while staying updated on financial changes and leveraging technology for enhanced reporting.

Additionally, you will lead the development and implementation of a robust Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework across the organization by conducting regular assessments to identify key financial areas requiring oversight. You will collaborate with business units and finance teams to streamline internal control testing and strengthen financial reporting accuracy while working closely with auditors to facilitate audit processes.

The ideal candidate for this position holds a Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration along with a Professional Finance Qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA etc) and has at least 10 years of relevant working experience in financial planning, analysis, controlling or related fields. Industry preference includes oil & gas, energy, power or utilities sectors. Proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office suite is required along with strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting technical skills.
