IntePros, a prominent staffing agency in the United States, is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Director of Engineering to join our esteemed Medical Device/Pharma Manufacturing client located in Philadelphia, PA. As a key member of the team, the Director of Engineering will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding the engineering department at our CDMO manufacturing site. This position requires an individual with a strategic mindset, well-versed in Pharmaceutical and medical device regulations, dedicated to quality and efficiency, and passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute engineering strategies that align with global engineering objectives and organizational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing engineering team.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Collaborate closely with various departments such as Operations, Quality, EH&S, Sales, and Project Management to ensure client requirements are met effectively.
Process Development And Validation:
- Oversee process development and validation of new automation equipment by working closely with OEMs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA and ISO 13485.
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to validate and operate automation equipment for clients.
Site Engineering:
- Head the facilities team for building modifications and enhancements.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal company policies.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts for product and process-related issues.
Project And Capital Management:
- Manage multiple engineering projects from inception to successful completion.
- Develop capital budgets, timelines, and resource allocation plans.
- Communicate project status updates and risks to senior management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field along with 10-15 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in lean methodologies like CI (Continuous Improvement) and Six Sigma.
- Strong leadership skills demonstrated through successful employee management experiences.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in a related field, experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industries, Lean & Six Sigma Certifications.
