We are currently seeking a Senior Manager Systems & Performance to join our team at MBC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the media industry and cloud solutions, with a strong focus on actively monitoring and optimizing various systems and solutions within our TV Platform products. Working closely with internal and external technical teams, the Senior Manager will be responsible for defining and monitoring KPIs for all systems, integrations, and solutions.
Key responsibilities include deriving functional/technical requirements from the BRD, reviewing system architecture for complex requirements, driving POCs and solution evaluations with development teams, outlining future directions for technical roadmaps, conducting performance tuning activities, identifying process inefficiencies for improvement or automation, managing tech budgets for infrastructure optimization, participating in resolution of production and performance issues, as well as solutioning business and product requirements.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience building large scalable systems and hands-on expertise as a principal-level software development engineer. Proficiency in technologies such as HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), DASH, RTMP, RTSP is required along with knowledge of media codecs like MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, AAC among others.
