Job Summary:
The Investment Director will be responsible for leading and managing the investment activities of the firm. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in investment analysis, portfolio management, and deal execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful investments and the ability to drive the company’s investment strategy to achieve optimal returns.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the firm’s goals.
Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities across various sectors.
Lead the due diligence process, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and market analysis.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee and manage the investment portfolio to maximize returns and mitigate risks.
Monitor and analyze the performance of existing investments.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Deal Origination and Execution:
Source, negotiate, and execute investment deals.
Structure and close transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Manage relationships with external partners, including financial institutions, advisors, and other stakeholders.
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Ensure continuous development and training of team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA is highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment management, private equity, or a related field.
Proven track record of successful investments and portfolio management.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent negotiation and deal structuring capabilities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of the investment landscape in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
