Accountant

We are currently seeking an ambitious and energetic Accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to the finance manager, this role requires a well-rounded individual with 4 to 5 years of experience who excels at building relationships, attention to detail, accuracy, and taking ownership of tasks.

As an Accountant at Vivium Holdings, your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable and receivable functions, overseeing bank transactions and reconciliation, handling store sales and collections reconciliation, performing day-to-day bookkeeping for GL accounts, carrying out monthly accounting closing entries, ensuring UAE VAT compliance at all times, controlling inventory entries and conducting audits as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for petty cash book maintenance, assisting in monthly management reporting and analysis preparation, financial control through budgeting and forecasting with variance analysis.

To qualify for this position, you must have 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping and accounting with a recognized academic or professional qualification such as CA, ACCA or CIMA. Proficiency in MS Office applications especially Excel is essential along with exposure to accounting and ERP systems. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial as you will be required to build relationships across various verticals within the company. Essential behavioral competencies include professional knowledge in accounting practices, financial monitoring and analysis skills with attention to detail integrity communication abilities deadline orientation high standards.
