The Director of Site Operations will play a pivotal role in managing the overall operations of one or more data center campuses. This position involves direct supervision of Critical Facility Engineers (CFEs) and manager-level staff across all shifts to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. Collaboration with various departments such as Reliability Engineering, Design Engineering, and Construction is essential to maintain optimal performance levels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building systems to effectively lead maintenance and operations activities.
Key responsibilities include overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, managing workflow and work orders, developing training plans, handling event management, customer communications, as well as hiring and performance management within the team. The Director will be expected to achieve availability targets for data centers while fostering a team-oriented environment through positive feedback and encouragement.
Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields with 10+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance supervision. Strong managerial skills along with excellent interpersonal communication are crucial for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and building automation systems is required. The role demands physical requirements such as occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, among other duties related to maintaining operational efficiency.
