Director of Application Engineering

The successful candidate will be passionate about developing customer-specific solutions utilizing Appleton products for industrial low voltage power distribution and control, lighting, and heat trace applications. This role focuses on driving concept-to-production processes for Engineer-to-Order products in a rapid execution customer-focused environment.

As the Director of Application Engineering at Emerson, you will be responsible for supervising all application engineering groups, developing trust and communication within the sales channel regarding delivery promises, and ensuring compliance with global safety standards. Your duties will include leading process improvements for daily orders, supporting quotations, providing technical support to customers and internal teams within Appleton Group. Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and develop the team while evaluating efficiency metrics to optimize operations across all application groups.

The ideal candidate for this position holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant professional experience matching the level of this role. Experience with hazardous location standards (NEC/CEC/IEC/ATEX), leading global technical teams, power distribution design applications, Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word), as well as strong organizational skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Oracle systems, AutoCAD software applications like Ptc Windchill and Creo 3D CAD tools.
