At Samson Rose, we are working with a cutting-edge B2B Robotics & AI company that is on a mission to transform industrial operations in sectors like automotive manufacturing, logistics, and retail. We are currently seeking a Founding Head of Engineering to join the founding team and be a key player in driving the company's technical vision forward.

As the Founding Head of Engineering, you will take on full ownership of product development and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technical roadmap. Your responsibilities will include leading the development of innovative solutions, driving product innovation to deliver practical products to our customers, and building a high-performing engineering team and processes for sustainable growth.

Our company was launched in 2024 by industry veterans from Tesla, Nike, Amazon, and Zipline. Currently bootstrapped, we initiated our pre-seed phase in January 2025 with plans to kick off our Seed round in Fall 2025. We are at an exciting phase where our prototype is undergoing alpha testing in real-world customer warehouses with promising results. With a strong focus on scalability, we aim to have multiple units in customer proof-of-concept trials within the next few months.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who thrives on challenges and is comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. You should have deep technical expertise in areas like mechatronics, hardware or software development, data science, product management, or AI/ML. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or ROS 2 is essential, along with experience in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch for applications in computer vision or robotics.

• Take their product's alpha version to a validated hardware and software design and initial reliability testing (Engineering Validation state) by the end of 2025 while building the team and processes for a scalable engineering organization
