Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager at Carter & White, you will play a crucial role in driving the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices within the organization. Your responsibilities will include preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting entries, as well as budgeting and forecasting for future financial performance. You will lead the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers, presenting findings to the board, and managing the audit process of current systems while acting as the primary contact for external auditors. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing working capital management, producing cash flow forecasts, and leading a team handling payroll, VAT processes, and HMRC requirements.

The ideal candidate for this role must possess strong technical accounting knowledge along with expertise in Excel and financial modeling. They should be able to create statutory accounts proficiently and demonstrate experience in delegating tasks effectively. A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience managing budgets up to multi-millions is preferred. The successful candidate should also have experience running annual audits and be capable of supervising staff members while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
