**Job Description:**
Our client, a prominent Dubai-based holding company, is seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to join one of its dynamic portfolio businesses. As a Financial Controller in this growth-oriented environment, you will play a crucial role in leading financial operations while enhancing controls and compliance frameworks.
In this strategic position, your responsibilities will include supervising the finance department to maintain accurate and effective financial records and reporting. You will be tasked with preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide a comprehensive financial overview. Additionally, you will lead the annual budgeting process, conduct financial forecasts, and identify variances throughout the year to support informed decision-making.
Collaboration with external auditors during the annual audit process is essential in ensuring timely provision of necessary information and documentation. You will also oversee cash flow forecasting in coordination with management to maintain healthy liquidity and optimize cash utilization. Adherence to accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements is paramount for maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Furthermore, as part of your role, you will formulate and document comprehensive business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls and promote consistent practices. Practical experience in implementing an ERP system within both finance and procurement modules is expected. Managing compliance with tax requirements, assisting with tax planning strategies, and ensuring accurate VAT and corporate tax filing are also key aspects of this position.
To qualify for this role, you must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance along with a professional qualification such as ACA, CPA or ACCA. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance is required, including at least 3 years of UAE experience. Exceptional organizational abilities are necessary for efficiently managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
