At Advanced Technology Search, we are representing a dynamic and rapidly growing company specializing in RF/Microwave modules and Integrated Microwave Assemblies for the Defense market. Our client is seeking a dedicated Director/VP of Engineering to lead a team of 5 to 10 RF Design Engineers, along with RF Test, Drafting, and Documentation professionals.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and inspiring teams of RF Designers, overseeing project management, and engaging in technical discussions with customers. We are looking for an individual with a BSEE or MSEE and a minimum of 10-15 years of hands-on experience in RF/Microwave Design specifically for Defense applications. The successful candidate should have evolved into a seasoned leader capable of driving design projects or managing teams effectively while demonstrating proficiency in addressing technical requirements with clients.

Candidates must possess extensive expertise in RF/Microwave Module and IMA Design. It is crucial that the individual has current hands-on design experience as they will serve as the primary source for new product designs within the company. Strong skills in technical customer interface are essential; this includes comprehending customer system architecture and formulating specifications for RF Designers accordingly.

Key responsibilities include managing projects from product concept to rollout, ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. Additionally, candidates must be US Citizens due to the nature of the work. The position is based on Long Island in the NYC area.
