As the Director of Engineering at Kindred Motorworks, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all our vehicles progress from concept to customer-ready with an emphasis on quality, performance, efficiency, and simplicity. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Vehicle Controls Engineering teams to develop top-notch engineering outputs that are clearly documented, manufacturable, communicated effectively, and smoothly integrated into production processes. You will establish performance standards for your team members while fostering cross-functional relationships with Design, Supply Chain Management, Process Improvement teams to optimize engineering reporting systems and drive operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles within a manufacturing environment. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields is required along with proven project management skills across New Product Introduction (NPI), process engineering, and supply chain management. Strong leadership presence with the ability to define KPIs and implement structured change processes is essential. Desired skills include automotive experience and proficiency with CAD software such as OnShape and PLM tools like Arena.
