Our client, a prominent retail business based in Dubai, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

As the Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to maintain accurate financial records for all retail transactions, including daily sales, purchases, and other related activities. You will also be tasked with processing supplier invoices, handling customer invoicing, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable reports. In addition, you will play a key role in ensuring VAT compliance by accurately calculating and submitting VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, assisting in budget preparation and financial forecasting, as well as providing valuable insights to management regarding our financial performance. Your role will also involve working closely with inventory management teams to ensure proper valuation of stock and accurate recording of inventory-related transactions in the accounting system.

The ideal candidate for this position will hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting within the retail industry. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and regulations is essential, along with proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP. Excellent communication skills in English are required (Arabic is a plus), along with strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
