We are currently seeking a Senior Manager Engineering to oversee our business unit's operations effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of products or services aligns with customer requirements by executing strategic plans and meeting set goals within quality standards. Your duties will include identifying and utilizing necessary resources, preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets, leading staff planning efforts, assessing candidate qualifications for hiring/promotion decisions, fostering conflict resolution within teams, delegating tasks efficiently, providing guidance on job responsibilities to managers/supervisors, developing team members through mentoring/coaching programs.
The ideal candidate will hold an advanced technical degree (PhD or Masters) in Engineering or Science with a Bachelor's degree as a requirement. A minimum of 10 years of experience leading an engineering development organization is essential along with semiconductor expertise (manufacturing/processing/fab/design). Defense industry experience is preferred while possessing the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is crucial. This role entails onsite work at our Roanoke location with up to 20% travel required.
