As the Director of Engineering at Lumicity, you will be tasked with overseeing and leading the engineering department in all aspects related to the design, development, and commercialization of clean fuel technologies. Your role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as key vendors, EPC companies, and cross-functional teams, to ensure the seamless execution of large-scale projects. You will be responsible for managing the engineering design process, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and overseeing chemical process scale-up from pilot plant to full-scale production.
Key responsibilities include providing technical leadership in chemical process design and equipment selection while fostering a culture of innovation within your team. You will work closely with various departments like R&D, operations, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing to align engineering activities with business objectives. Additionally, you will oversee safety protocols implementation by conducting HAZOP studies and ensuring safe engineering practices for chemical processing. Managing budgets, timelines, resource allocation for projects while adhering to regulatory requirements in clean fuel sectors are also crucial aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate for this position holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred) along with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles within fuel or chemical processing industries.
