As the Director of Engineering at Storm Search, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data and developing implementation plans to optimize production processes. Your focus will be on maximizing efficiencies by reducing waste of valuable resources that impact operating costs. You will lead and direct engineering resources within assigned functional areas to ensure efficient operations and strategic execution. Your responsibilities include partnering with various departments such as Operations, HR, Safety, and more to achieve organizational goals through effective leadership.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence by overseeing capital and maintenance budgets, managing projects effectively, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies with internal and external resources. Additionally, you will lead teams of Engineers to successfully design and execute business objectives while fostering a culture of safety, open communication, empowerment, and recognition within the workplace.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university along with at least 10 years of experience in Engineering management. Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 5 years in team management are required. Knowledge of the food manufacturing industry is preferred along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word) and SAP. Excellent communication skills are essential for conveying technical ideas effectively to non-technical audiences.

Key Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering management or equivalent education and experience
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in team management and development
  • Prior experience as a Plant Engineer or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Knowledge of the food manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, and SAP
