Our FemCare manufacturing plant in Dover, DE is currently seeking a Plant Director who will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our manufacturing and sourcing strategies.
As the Plant Director, you will be responsible for developing long-term manufacturing plans, analyzing production needs, and ensuring the implementation of appropriate processes and machinery for both existing and new products. Your role will involve driving productivity, compliance, lean manufacturing initiatives, and fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes team engagement and morale improvement. By providing leadership and coaching to develop a high-performing team focused on Lean Manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, safety management processes, quality management processes, and facility cultural initiatives.
Key responsibilities include delivering financial results according to the annual plan, setting plant policies in alignment with company standards, executing manufacturing schedules based on forecasts and capacity planning. You will also oversee staff development and training programs while managing industrial relations effectively. Additionally, you will collaborate with various stakeholders at different levels within the organization to ensure strategic plans are implemented successfully.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (graduate degree preferred), along with at least 10 years of relevant experience in direct line supervision and engineering staff management. Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement practices is essential. Preferred skills include knowledge of cGMP regulations in OTC products/prescription drug products or Medical Devices, proficiency in SAP/Microsoft Office/Quality Tracking Management Systems.
