Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant at Minimalist.ae, you will be responsible for managing financial and bookkeeping processes while overseeing a team of experienced accountants. Your duties will include recording financial transactions, reconciling sub-ledgers and ledgers, preparing financial statements, devising budgets and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, evaluating internal controls to mitigate risks, generating periodic reports to identify areas of improvement and cost savings, as well as coordinating external audits of the company's finances.

The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 5 years of experience in financial management within an eCommerce business or digital startup environment. Additionally, they should possess 2+ years of experience with UAE VAT regulations and QuickBooks software (both desktop and online versions). A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration is required along with at least one accounting certification (such as CA, CPA or ACCA) preferably coupled with IFRS certification. Exceptional communication skills in English are also essential for this position.

• At least 5, ideally 7+ years of experience in financial management and accounting in an eCommerce business or digital startup
