Senior Accountant

Maestra, a leading supplier in the Event & Exhibition Industry in The Middle East, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial processes at Maestra. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensuring compliance with local financial reporting requirements is essential. The Senior Accountant will also assist in financial planning, budgeting, and day-to-day financial operations to maintain the organization's fiscal health.

In addition to financial responsibilities like month-end closing entries and accounts management for all companies under Maestra's umbrella, the Senior Accountant will be involved in tax compliance and audit support. This includes coordinating audits and ensuring that audit requirements are met promptly. Furthermore, the role involves identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implementing improvements while supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff for their professional development.

Ideal candidates for this position should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or ACCA certification being a plus. They should have 10-15 years of experience in accounting and financial management within the events, exhibition or hospitality industry. Expert level proficiency in Excel and accounting software is a must-have technical skill. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy while being able to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
