Canonical, a global open-source software company known for publishing Ubuntu, the preferred OS for cloud computing, containers, software engineering, and AI/ML data science, is seeking a Head of Organisational Development to join our team. We are looking for an exceptional individual with outstanding leadership skills to lead our Organisational Development team in developing and harmonizing our management practices. This role involves focusing on deepening insights and effectiveness as a remote-first and globally distributed organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing managers and leaders while setting the standard for distributed company management across hundreds of teams worldwide. You will work alongside a cross-disciplinary People team comprising organizational psychologists, engineers, statistics/analytics experts, talent science specialists, and employee relations specialists.

As the Head of Organisational Development at Canonical, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing talent development strategies, hosting discussions about management practices, delivering exceptional leadership experiences to aspiring managers within Canonical, renewing internal and external values activation efforts, creating leadership performance indicators and metrics among others. We require someone with strong views on remote work conditions that create high-performing teams along with excellent communication skills and analytical abilities.
